Thanksgiving Winter Wonderland November 30, 2008

Friday, after Thanksgiving, this is what I woke up to on the Doll Farm (my parent’s house).  It snowed the perfect amount on the perfect day.  It was absolutely beautiful!

Here is a view of my dad’s farm from our house.

Sophie LOVES the farm.  Did I mention Sophie LOVES the farm???

Sophie was like a flash of lightening!

There are more pictures to come.  I could have dropped the camera and it would have been a good picture….except trying to catch Sophie.  That was quite a challenge.

Sophie Picture November 20, 2008

I haven’t posted Sophie pictures in awhile!

This is what Sophie does if she has done something bad.  If we get home and she is laying on the floor like this instead of greeting us at the stairs…she has torn up a Kleenex.  She just really can’t help herself when it comes to those Kleenexes.  Poor Sophie…we don’t even have to punish her.  She has a self-punishing command!

On a lighter note….here is Sophie with her hoodie:

She thinks she is really cool….

Actually, she thinks she has a really mean mommy for making her wear this….

It is ok as I long as she is getting her belly rubbed….

And remember…no Kleenexes for Sophie….

Puppysitting September 29, 2008

Our friends have the most adorable new little Pomeranian puppy named Lea.  We get to puppysit on weekends while they go to the OSU games.  She got tired while she was here last time and walked into Sophie’s kennel and laid down for a nap.  Sophie, in turn, climbed into Lea’s bed.  How cute is that??

Wasabi in Tulsa June 21, 2008

Ryan and I have been eating at Asahi in Tulsa for two years. This new sushi place, Wasabi, opened across from Asahi on the other side of 71st. I got Ryan to take me there two weekends ago. When we walked in the wait staff looked familiar. Then we sat down and got our menus?wait?.. the menu items looked familiar as well. In fact, most of the menu items where the same as the ones at Asahi (but, the menu was way nicer)! We called over our waiter and asked what was going on. He had another lady come over to talk with us. This lady, in particular, had served us many times before at Ashai. She told us that the original owner of Asahi had sold the business six years ago to get more experience working at larger sushi restaurants. Then he decided to come back to Tulsa and start another sushi eatery. The atmosphere is great, every table gets Edamame before the meal (which I love), the place is super clean, the items we ordered were extremely fresh, the staff is more friendly at Wasabi than they are at Asahi, and my husband and I will keep going back.  You should try it for yourself!

This is the actual Sushi Bar.

This was my meal.  The unagi was amazing.

This was Ryan’s meal….well after he was almost done eating.  It was a ton of food, plus they gave us a free roll and a free appetizer.

The outside looks nice.

My Aunt Jennifer got a black toy poodle puppy just like Sophie! It was so cute. It made me want another one. When we got to her house, we could see through the front door the little puppy laying in a big pink bed with her big pink bow. It was adorable.

Sophie got a haircut today! March 25, 2008

Sophie’s haircut!  She is smiling for the picture.  When I took her in the stylist said she would probably have to shave the bottoms of Sophie’s ears because they were matted.  I felt horrible and assumed she would look hideous when I picked her up.  They got the mats out without shaving her and she looks beautiful!!  From now on, I will be combing Sophie’s ears with a comb every other day.  The stylist also said that the ears are extremely sensitive and you have to be very careful when trying to get mats out.  You can actually tear the ear skin apart if you aren’t careful.
