Today I had a semi-creative moment. My mom is coming to stay with me for a week, so I am getting busy and getting my office ready for her to stay in. My office has this huge window in it and it faces East (sunrise). Last time my mom stayed the sun was really bright and woke her up way to early. Wanting my mom to sleep later on this visit, so I can sleep later , I wanted to figure out a way to cover up the window without spending any money. This is what I came up with. It is a blanket that my mom gave me. How ironic is that? Anyway it is thin enough to fit over the top of blinds and thick enough to shut out the sun. I am hoping this will keep the room cooler as well.

This morning Ryan woke me up and told me I needed to call the Chiropractor because his hands were numb. I laid in bed trying to absorb that information (which I couldn’t) and decided to go back to sleep. Ryan decided to call the Chiropractor himself on his way to work since I didn’t feel the same urgency as he felt! Well, the Chiropractor told him to come right on in. They popped his wrists and all was better. Now how weird is that, to go to the Chiropractor so he can pop your wrists. hahahaha….that is my hubby. Apparently he uses his wrists and hands a lot at work…

Weekend on the Farm June 21, 2008

Over the weekend, we took Brian to my parent?s farm in KS.  He is from CA, so he had quite the experience!  I would add more pictures of him, but I forgot my camera in KS.

My mom makes these birerocks every time I am home because they are my absolute favorite.  Has anyone ever heard of them before.  Brian acted like he liked them.  It is homemade bread on the outside with hamburger, sauerkraut, and cheese on the inside.  Yummm!!

I got to have a good friend over while I was home.  This is Ada and I looking just as good as we did in high school!  Right??  Ryan and I are looking forward to going to her wedding in October.  She and her future husband started dating when Ryan and I started dating.

Here is Brian and Sophie on the way home!  Brian is Sophie’s favorite person in the whole world.  She likes him better than the two people who feed her and take care of her.

New Bikes

Here is my mom on our new bikes.  We love this style of bike.  My mom and I rode 20 miles on the Saturday morning she was here.  She is coming back down to Tulsa to “see me” but we both know she just wants to ride my bike.

Here is Ryan on his bike.  Mine is the blue one and his is the red one.  Ryan thinks we need to set the trend in Tulsa for these new recumbent bicycles.

Aunt Jennifer’s New Puppy April 27, 2008

My Aunt Jennifer got a black toy poodle puppy just like Sophie! It was so cute. It made me want another one. When we got to her house, we could see through the front door the little puppy laying in a big pink bed with her big pink bow. It was adorable.

This is our Christmas picture for 2007.

We went to Moto Photo per advice of a close friend and we were pleasantly surprised with service, quality of pictures, and time it took. We were in the store less than 45mins total. That is amazing considering there were several poses we could have sent out as Christmas pictures and been happy with. The photographer was nice and extremely efficient. We will definitely go there again.
